I tried to look for myself in others,

but found only pain and confusion.

So I tried to ignore it,

but everywhere I looked it was all the same.

So I closed my eyes and looked within,

and found myself instead.

I realised real change begins with me,

and my answers won’t be found looking elsewhere

but instead loving and holding myself accountable.

    1. I agree with you 100% the ability to look within and see yourself in a positive and endearing light is a powerful feeling and a birthright but not everyone is able to see that instead have to learn the hard way. I hope to be a parent and a teacher to my kids and others to express your love and light and to not be afraid of what others think but be like the sun and keep shining. Thanks KG
